Health Screening
Health screening is concerned with fitness for work.
1] Pre employment assessments
We undertake pre employment screening by questionnaire. This includes a question set which can be tailored to your specific requirements. It includes an assessment of disability enabling the employer to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. We subsequently provide a certificate indicating fitness to work, or a recommendation regarding adjustments that may need to be considered to enable the person to work.
2] Vision Screening
We are also able to undertake vision screening tests for occupational activities including Display Screen use and inspection work.
3] Food handlers
Regulation:- Food Hygiene Regulations 2006
In line with the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006 it is necessary to ensure that food handlers are aware of the importance of hygiene standards and how this can impact the workplace as a whole. We are able to check the overall health of food handlers using a detailed questionnaire, followed by medical checks of the mouth, ears, hands, nails, urine and blood pressure.
Following this examination we provide a certificate of fitness, followed by any advice to the employee and employer. We are able to provide this service as part of annual health screening, or following a period of sickness.
4] Night Workers
Regulation:- The Working Time Regulations 1999
Workers are eligible to certain entitlements in line with The Working Time Regulations 1999. These regulations state that night workers must be offered a free and confidential health assessment before undertaking this type of work and on a regular basis. The Working Time Regulations describe a night worker as an individual that regularly works at least three hours a night.
We are able to provide employees with a detailed questionnaire specially designed for nightworkers, from which our trained nurse’s will be able to give advice to both employees and employers followed by a certificate of fitness.

A confined space can be any space which is enclosed where there is a risk of death or serious injury from hazardous substances or dangerous conditions such as lack of oxygen.
