Noise Survey’s

Occupational hearing loss is preventable, however once an individuals hearing has been lost or damaged it cannot be repaired. Approximately 17,000 people in the UK suffer from deafness or tinnitus caused by excessive noise exposure at work.

As well as our annual audiometry testing we are also able to carry out noise survey’s in work environments exposed to high levels of noise using Personal Dosimeters and Sound Pressure Meters. We use Casella intrinsically safe Personal Dosimeters. Noise survey’s allow employers to see what noise levels their employees are exposed to and ensure that the correct hearing protection is worn/provided to protect their hearing. Noise survey measurements have shown noise levels in many working environments to be in excess of both the daily limit (Lepd) and peak noise level.
